Empowered Living: Healthy Eating

Join us for the first session in our Empowered Living: Health & Wellbeing Series — a three-part interactive series designed to support your health, wellbeing and everyday life.

Across the series, you’ll hear from experienced experts, explore practical and evidence-based approaches, ask questions and discover simple ideas you can put into practice.

Date: Wednesdays, 14th October, 21st October and 4th November 2026
Time: 1:00 PM- 2:30 PM
Location: Guide Dogs Head Office, at 251 Morphett Street – Adelaide.

Participants are expected to join all three sessions.

Session 1: Healthy Eating

With Kate Guthrie, Accredited Practising Dietitian

With more than 20 years’ experience in nutrition and dietetics across Australia and the UK, Kate brings extensive clinical and specialised experience supporting people with disability and complex health conditions.

In this session, explore:

  • What healthy eating really looks like
  • The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating
  • The importance of fibre, protein and hydration
  • Common nutrition myths and facts
  • Simple, evidence-based strategies for everyday life
