Daniel Cox
Daniel is a warm, capable, and empathic leader with a career-long commitment to improving the lives of people facing barriers due to disability, frailty, poverty, disadvantage or illness. He has extensive experience in health and community services, in both government and non-government roles. Dan’s previous government experience includes leadership roles in SA Health, the Department of Premier and Cabinet and as Assistant Secretary in the Aged Care Royal Commission. In the non-government sector, he has senior executive, CEO and deputy CEO experience with Central Adelaide and Hills Medicare Local, UnitingSA, Mission Australia and Boarding Australia. Dan also ran a successful consulting company for several years, specialising in evaluation and advisory services to the human services sector.
With qualifications in Public Health and extensive leadership training, Dan has a strong track record in developing and implementing strategy to adjust to shifting policy, legislative and financial conditions. He also has strong knowledge of the NDIS and aged care sectors, understanding of evidence-based service design and delivery, ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, people leadership and financial acumen.
Dan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Guide Dogs SA/NT in February 2026.
