RIP Bill Harriff

October 18, 2013

Guide Dogs SA/NT has been touched by the many tributes it has received from those moved by the passing of our respected colleague, Bill Harriff, in a recent, tragic road accident.

Bill touched our lives in many ways. A lasting memory will be his tireless passion for providing mobility, independence, inclusion and empowerment for all his clients in his role as an Orientation and Mobility Instructor. His lasting legacy is his unrivalled drive and commitment for fundraising for charities that were dear to his heart.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. While it was Bill’s wish that there not be any formal service or occasion to mark his passing, many people may wish to support his last fundraising effort, The Great Cycle Challenge, raising money for children with cancer.

All at Guide Dogs SA/NT will miss Bill, but we will strive to honour Bill’s legacy by continuing the unrivalled service and attention for which Bill was renowned.

Kate Thiele

Chief Executive Officer.
