About the event

On Sunday 16 September, around 450 dogs of almost every size and breed imaginable joined their owners for the Mix 102.3 Dog Walk as part of the annual City-Bay Fun Run! This is the first year City-Bay has included a Dog Walk and half of each entry fee has been donated to support Guide Dogs SA/NT.

The walk began at The Junction in Camden Park and continued for 3km to Glenelg Beach, where finishers were presented with a medal and a chance to relax in the Mix 102.3 Dog Village.

Among the PAWticipants were two retired Ambassadogs, Tango and Lenny. Guide Dogs was also proudly represented by Judy Masters and her son Lachlan’s Autism Assistance Dog, Zeke.

Judy says, ‘Having Zeke and Guide Dogs SA in our lives has given our family a chance to go out into the world with confidence and safety. I don’t want to think about where our family would be without this amazing organisation.’

While the race may be over, Judy is continuing to collect funds in support of Guide Dogs. She aims to raise $1000 to help other families access the services that have changed her family’s life. If you would like to support Judy’s campaign, visit her fundraising page here.

I need help

I thought that the room was really dark, but actually it wasn’t the room, it was me.

I know that I will be fine because if I need help, I have Guide Dogs to turn to.
