Connecting to nature: Tips for gardening for people with vision loss

Spending time in nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it also contributes to your physical wellbeing. Research conducted in hospitals, offices and schools has found that even a simple plant in a room can have a significant impact on stress and anxiety.

Following vision loss you may experience challenges with gardening in an existing space. In this session, we will explore ways to make gardening fun and safe for people living with low vision or blindness. Including some tips and ideas for creating your own sensory garden.

Date: Friday, 11 August

I need help

I know that I will be fine because if I need help, I have Guide Dogs to turn to.
