Plan, Prepare and Practice; Preparing for Emergencies with Low Vision and Blindness; March Empowered Living Program

Emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time. This Empowered Living Program will help you build confidence and skills to plan, know your options, and feel more ready to respond, whatever the situation.

Session 1: Awareness and Everyday Readiness for Emergencies

Facilitated by Red Cross

Many Australians think first of bushfires when they hear “emergency,” but there are many other situations that can disrupt daily life; from power outages and severe storms to heatwaves or local hazards. In this EmergencyRedi session, we’ll explore the different types of emergencies, how to build everyday readiness into your routine, and tips on how to manage the emotional and psychological impacts of emergencies.
