Join us for more Guide Dogs Social Happy Hour sessions in March!
Open to anyone experiencing a vision loss, as well as family and friends, it’s a chance to catch up for a chat and meet new people, all from the comfort of your own home.
Held via Zoom, the platform is fully accessible and can be used on your phone, computer or tablet. Each session will run for 45 – 60 minutes and will be facilitated by a Guide Dogs staff member.
The Social Happy Hour will run throughout 2021 with a different theme each month. Our sessions are both fun and educational, and are a great way to stay connected and build confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Our theme for March is Recreational and Leisure Activities, with two sessions to come along to. Learn about exploring your community and how you can join in recreational activities.
Session 1: Indoor/Outdoor games
Find out how games equipment can be adapted in various ways to suit a person who is blind or has low vision. Learn about various adaptations and what is available.

Reading your favourite book and watching videos online can still be fun and easy. Explore various assistive technologies for accessing audiobooks and podcasts or watching your favourite videos online. Find out what services are available locally and how you can access them.
