Tony Doyle wins Australia Council award

Congratulations to Tony Doyle in winning the prestigious Ros Bower Award from the Australia Council for his long-time work in disability arts advocacy.

Tony was presented with his award at a dinner in Sydney on Thursday 19 March.

Guide Dogs SA/NT has been pleased to be part of Tony’s life journey with mobility and independence training. Tony is an inspiration.

The Ros Bower Award is given to artists with a proven record of high achievement in community arts and cultural development, with an emphasis on the philosophies and principles of equality, respect, and diversity. It was established to honour Ros Bower, a journalist, television producer, community arts pioneer and founding Director of the Australia Council’s first Community Arts Board.
