About the event
Vision loss can be scary, overwhelming and frustrating but you don’t have to go through it alone! Join our Empowered Living program and connect with others who have low vision or blindness. Sharing stories, insights and experiences, you may also find supports or build new friendships.
What to Expect:
- Engage in interactive workshops focusing on enhancing physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Learn how to manage stress, improve self-care, and maintain a positive outlook on life.
- Share your experiences in a safe and supportive environment to build meaningful relationships, exchange valuable insights, and receive encouragement from individuals who understand your journey firsthand.
- Gain essential information, resources, and tools to adapt to life with vision loss, including assistive technologies and community services.
- Benefit from professional guidance from experienced facilitators and guest speakers.
Program Details:
- The program takes place on Wednesdays on the following dates: 15th of May, 22nd of May, 29th of May and 5th of June 2024.
- Time: 1 PM to 2 PM.
- Location: Guide Dogs Head Office, at 251 Morphett Street – Adelaide.
Our Empowered Living Program sessions are free and also available virtually via Microsoft Teams. The platform is fully accessible and can be used on your phone, computer or tablet.
