National Volunteer Week

This week is National Volunteer Week.

National Volunteer Week (NVW) runs from Monday 17 May to Sunday 23 May and is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers.

This week, we join organisations across the country in celebrating Australia’s almost six million volunteers, who dedicate over 600 million hours each year.

On Monday, Guide Dogs SA/NT staff and volunteers participated in the Volunteering SA/NT National Volunteer Week Parade through the Adelaide CBD.

At Guide Dogs SA/NT, we are grateful to have nearly 200 dedicated volunteers who choose to make a difference for our clients and their families, and bring joy to people’s lives. Our volunteers work across all parts of the organisation and each and every volunteer plays a vital role in supporting us to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

We really couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers, thank you!

I need help

I thought that the room was really dark, but actually it wasn’t the room, it was me.

I know that I will be fine because if I need help, I have Guide Dogs to turn to.
