Smart kitchen and food choices – Kitchen life Hacks You Need to Know.

Join us for our series of sessions where we will discover some ways on how to set up your smart kitchen no matter your kitchen size or level of vision. You can continue to enjoy your time in the kitchen no matter your level of vision.

With the festive season approaching, you are sure to enjoy the tips and tricks that our special guest speaker will share about smart food choices, meal planning, shopping and dining like a pro.

Session 1: Healthy food choices.

Hear directly from our special guest speaker who is a dietician/nutritionist from Adelaide Nutrition. Learn about healthy eating and easy meal prep strategies to prepare a healthy weekly menu.

Session 2: Setting up your accessible kitchen.

Session 3: Kitchen hacks, accessing labels and recipes.

Join us to discuss various approaches to cooking and kitchen hacks that will make life easy. You can also discover ways to access recipes and labels and do your grocery shopping.

Time: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Session 4: Dining with confidence – dining etiquettes.

Want to try out a new restaurant or join a dinner party? Discover simple strategies and tips for dining etiquette to learn what tricks you can pull out. To enjoy and dine anywhere with confidence.

What is the Empowered Living Program?

The Empowered Living Program is a new skill development and education program specially designed for people who have experienced recent vision loss or blindness.

Through a series of group sessions, you can discover useful tricks, techniques and equipment to build your confidence and maintain your independence at home and in the community. The sessions will help you reflect on your journeys and build confidence and self-esteem, provide opportunities to learn and explore your local community and enhance your well-being.

Connect to peers who can relate to your experience and join our group to learn and grow together.
